Course Description
La Manga Club has three top quality 18 hole championship courses:
SOUTH COURSE - 6499 metre 18 hole par 73 course originally designed by Robert Putman, remodelled in the 1990s by Arnold Palmer and recently completely refurbished. Located in the centre of the resort, with wide, palm-fringed fairways and few hidden dangers, the South, whilst being a top-calibre championship course, can be enjoyed by golfers of all standards. Strategically located bunkers, gullies and the water hazards that come into play on 15 out of the 18 holes, provide an added challenge to every stroke.
NORTH COURSE - 5753 metre 18 hole par 71 course on which precision rather than length provides the key. This course is more undulating than the South course and offers a different kind of challenge. The storm gullies that snake their way through the course and numerous water hazards provide a stern test of shot-making.
WEST COURSE - 5971 metre 18 hole par 73 course, designed by Dave Thomas in 1996 and set amid serene pine woodlands and hilly countryside. This is a deceiving course that demands the occasional blind shot. A tight front nine contrasts with the more open, but challenging back nine.
La Manga also has an 80-bay floodlit driving range with target greens, a large practice bunker, and practice greens for chipping and putting. An 18-hole Par 47 course, complete with water hazards, provides short game practice. The club house has changing facilities and a bar offering pre- and post-round refreshments as well as breakfasts and light lunches. The club shop can arrange club, trolley or buggy hire, and the PGA-qualified teaching pros can provide private or group tuition in the 5-day golf academy courses.
