Course Description
The outstanding Par 72/73 Championship golf course designed by Peter Harradine at Doha measures over 7,000 yards from the championship tees. Eight artificial lakes help ensure that the 150 hectares of manicured fairways and superb greens are maintained to a standard that has won unanimous praise from both European Tour players and officials. It offers a demanding challenge, especially when the sea breeze gets up. However, from the club members' tees, the course provides the average golfer with a fair and enjoyable test. There are a number of genuine birdie opportunities, provided you are playing your approach shots from the generously wide and lush green fairways rather than the desert which borders almost every hole.
The Academy golf course provides a shorter 9 holes with a par 34 round of 2802 yards.
Along with the Championship and Academy courses, Doha Golf Club also features outstanding practice facilities incorporating a fully floodlit driving range, with short game areas and putting greens.
The club house features two bars, a restaurant and a pro shop. Gypsum, art, teak doors imported from Thailand, internal waterfalls and fountains create a cool and welcoming atmosphere.
